Braga add Ney to their ranks

SC Braga's summer recruitment drive has continued with Brazilian defender Ney dos Santos following former CF Estrela da Amadora team-mate Fernando Alexandre to the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round contenders.

'Excited and flattered'
Ney can play in either full-back position or as a central defender and has signed a two-year contract. No fee has been released for the 28-year-old who played eleven league games for Amadora since joining them from Joinville EC in the winter transfer window. "I come here with an enormous desire to help," said Ney. He joins Amadora team-mate Alexandre plus fellow newcomers Angelo Peña and coach Domingos Paciência at the club. "I'm excited and flattered to be playing for one of the four greatest clubs in Portuguese football," the most recent arrival added.
