Krister Nordin has left Brøndby IF and rejoined AIK Solna on a 30-month contract.

Returning home
The 34-year-old midfield player left AIK two-and-a-half years ago, moving to the Superligaen with Brønby, having won the Allsvenskan title with AIK in 1992 and 1998, and his time in the Denmark was a tremendous success, as he won the league title in 2002.

'Do-or-die' attitude'
AIK director Sanny Åslund is delighted with the acquisition, claiming: "It's great to have Krister back at AIK. His heart is with the club, and his 'do-or-die' attitude will mean a lot." Nordin is eligible to play for the team from 1 July.

Team changes
The arrival of Nordin is seen by many as the final piece in the team's jigsaw, having brought back former player Gary Sundgren from Real Zaragoza in May. However, they have had a disappointing start to the 2002/03 Superligaen season, and coach Peter Larsson left the team after only seven games in charge, being replaced by Czech Dusan Uhrin.
