Austria round-up: Leaders extend advantage

Members

FK Austria Wien extended their lead to 12 points on Wednesday night, while the Graz derby ended 1-1.

Koluvits mistake
Wien were lucky not to fall a goal behind when Bregenz's Lászlo Klausz hit the post with a header. However, the visitors went straight down the other end and took the lead through Raymond Kvisvik. A mistake from Bregenz's Enrico Koluvits allowed Kvisvik to win possession and he strode into the box before firing what proved to be the only goal of the match.

Surprise defeat
Meanwhile, second-placed SV Pasching surprisingly lost 3-1 to VfB Admira Wacker Mödling. Pasching took a second-minute lead through Helmut Riegler, but Fernando Troyanski volleyed his side level in the 38th. Sebastian Olszar headed in a 67th-minute cross from Tomasz Iwan to put the home side in front before Olszar latched on to Iwan's pass to secure a sensational win for Admira.

Derby ends level
The Graz derby ended all square as Didi Ramusch's second-half equaliser for Grazer AK earned a 1-1 draw against SK Sturm Graz. Elsewhere, SK Rapid Wien defeated FC Kärnten 2-0 thanks to goals from Roman Wallner and Andreas Herzog, while SV Ried recorded a 4-0 home victory over struggling SV Austria Salzburg.
