Russian Premier-Liga side FC Spartak-Alania Vladikavkaz have signed a pair of players from Latvian outfit FC Skonto.
Two-year contracts
Latvian Mihails Miholaps and Georgian Zurab Menteshashvili have both signed two-year contracts with Spartak-Alania. The 28-year-old Miholaps is one of the highest goalscorers in the history of the Latvian Virsliga, having notched 150 goals in 172 matches, while Menteshashvili has scored eleven times in 68 matches for Skonto.
Dzodzuashvili reunion
Both players will be reunited with Georgian coach Revaz Dzodzuashvili who is now head coach of Spartak-Alania and was formerly Latvia coach with strong Skonto contacts. "Moving to Vladikavkaz is a step forward, I am happy to see that happening," said Miholaps, who has played 13 times for Latvia. Menteshashvili has five caps for Georgia.
