A former police chief, Paauw was originally elected KNVB president last year and will now serve until 2028.
The Netherlands lifted both the men's Under-19 and Women's Under-17 EURO titles in 2025, further strengthening the nation's reputation for nurturing talent, and will host the Under-19 EURO in 2029.
This year, the KNVB also staged the fourth UEFA Unity EURO Cup, a friendly tournament uniting refugee teams and players from host communities across Europe, celebrating football’s power to bring people together.
