Hasan sidelined after surgery

Galatasaray SK midfield player Hasan Sas will be sidelined until the new year after undergoing surgery on wrist tendons.

Galatasaray SK midfield player Hasan Sas will be sidelined until the new year after undergoing surgery on wrist tendons after reportedly punching his hand through a dressing room door.

'Wearing a cast'
Hasan spent several hours in hospital after an incident that team doctor Serkan Kurtulmus said would keep him out for up to a month: "Hasan will be sidelined for three to four weeks. Despite wearing a cast we will try and keep his physical condition high."

League victory
It is thought the 25-year-old sustained the injury after punching his fist through a window at the weekend after a row with team-mates following a 4-1 Turkish first division victory over Istanbulspor AS.

Newspaper reports
Some Turkish newspapers said the dressing room row had centred on responsibility for Istanbulspor's 85th-minute goal, others pointed to an argument with team-mates over the late goal AS Roma scored in the UEFA Champions League encounter in the Ali Sami Yen stadium on 20 November.

Suspended
That Group B match finished 1-1 as Brazilian star Emerson slid the ball home in the 90th minute after a defensive misunderstanding. Hasan is suspended for Wednesday's trip to FC Barcelona after receiving his second yellow card in three games during the draw with the Italian champions.
