FC Lokomotiv Moskva have lost Marat Izmailov for the UEFA Champions League first group stage.
FC Lokomotiv Moskva's plans for the UEFA Champions League suffered a setback today with the news that Marat Izmailov will be out until the end of the domestic season after fracturing a bone in his left foot during training.
The Russian international midfield player was regaining fitness in time for the key Premier-Liga encounter with rivals FC Spartak Moskva, but is now not likely to be fit before December.
Izmailov, who came to prominence last season, made his debut for Russia at the age of 19 and now has ten caps for his country. Lokomotiv will have to do without him for the first group stage of the Champions League, where they face Galatasaray SK, Club Brugge KV and FC Barcelona in Group H.
