Fan of the Year race returns

After a week of fun and frolics it is time to get back to business in the UEFA Champions League Fan of the Year Quiz. Last week relaxation was the name of the game as we gave you the chance to rest your weary minds after seven days of racking your brains about all things European.

Search for a champion
But the serious stuff resumes for Matchday 2 as uefa.com continues its search for the most knowledgeable fan in Europe, in association with Amstel. So, if you fancy testing your football knowledge against the cream of Europe then check out our quiz and give yourself the chance to watch the Champions League final in Gelsenkirchen.

Pre-match tension
The top eight players overall will compete in the Fan of the Year final on the eve of the Champions League final. If you are not the competitive type, then why not give the quiz a try anyway - it is probably the best way of dealing with that familiar pre-match tension ahead of your team's next Champions League fixture on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Luca at the top
The contest gives you the opportunity to compete in a live quiz against fans from across the globe as well as building up your knowledge of European football. As we enter Matchday 2, Italian fan Luca Martinelli heads the field in the race for those exclusive tickets, clocking a score of 25,329 in 78 shows.

Canadian comeback
Other impressive performers included Polish contender Grzesiek Sochal and Canadian Michael Colbert, who is obviously keen to break the European stranglehold at the top of the leaderboard.

Goodie bag
With the emphasis on fun last week no prizes were awarded. This week, however, our top scorer will land two tickets to a Champions League match of his or her choice, while the nine runners-up all pick up a goodie bag full of Amstel merchandise.
