Vorisek switches to Sparta

AC Sparta Praha have signed FK Teplice's Czech star Petr Vorisek, with two players going the other way.

AC Sparta Praha have signed midfield player Petr Vorisek from FK Teplice three weeks after taking striker Jan Rezek from the same club.

Swap deal
A Czech Republic international, the 24-year-old playmaker had been at Teplice since 1996 and made his name helping his nation win the 2002 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Vorisek has signed a four-and-a-half year contract at Sparta, in a deal that sends defender Martin Klein and midfield player Pavel Krmaš the other way in exchange along with an undisclosed fee.

Cannot face Milan
Both Vorisek and Rezek are ineligible for the UEFA Champions League having played for Teplice in the UEFA Cup, and so will sit out the first knockout-round tie against holders AC Milan. Likewise, Krmaš will not be able to play for Teplice in their UEFA Cup third-round tie with Celtic FC, as he played in the Champions League. Klein, however, is eligible for the match.
