Capital duel catches the eye

uefa.com brings you the reaction to the UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw.

FC Porto v Olympique Lyonnais
UEFA Cup holders and conquerors of Manchester United FC, Porto meet a Lyon side competing in the last eight of Europe's premier club competition for the first time.

* Fernando Gomes, Porto board member
They’re a very strong team, primarily when they play at their own stadium. They have a fantastic Brazilian trio and some of the finest French internationals. Our previous results against Lyon were good but this is a very hard team to beat.
* Bernard Lacombe, Lyon managing director
Porto are a team who upset the odds by knocking out Manchester United. Behind the three giants, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Milan, I think Porto and Deportivo were the strongest teams.
* Jean-Michel Aulas, Lyon chairman
At this level, if you take away Madrid or Milan, it's 50-50.

Real Madrid CF v AS Monaco FC
It will be an emotional return to the Santiago Bernabéu for Fernando Morientes, three times a Champions League winner with the Merengues but now on loan with Monaco.

* Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid sporting director
We have a strong relationship with Fernando. He played for us for many years and for him I suppose it is not going to be easy to go back to our stadium and play for another team but he is a very good professional and I am sure he would like to help his team to defeat Real Madrid.
* Carlos Queiroz, Madrid coach
Deportivo La Coruña, who have just eliminated Juventus, took an 8-3 hiding from Monaco and there is not much more you can say about any team that is capable of putting eight goals past Deportivo.
* Pierre Svara, Monaco chairman
It's a very, very big honour to face such extraordinary players and a club which is a myth. We could not get better.

Chelsea FC v Arsenal FC
Arsenal will enter this London derby as favourites: Chelsea have not beaten them in 16 matches and have already lost three times to Arsène Wenger's side this season.

* David Dein, Arsenal vice-chairman
We've never made it past the quarter-finals and this will be the first time a London club will make it to the semi-finals. We've played Chelsea three times this season and got the better of them - may the dream continue. The team spirit is tremendous - probably the best I've ever seen it - and the talent in the squad world-class. But getting past Chelsea won't be easy.
* David Barnard, Chelsea club secretary
We've never got past the quarter-finals. We've played Arsenal three times this season and they won all three matches - this fixture will give us an opportunity to turn the tables.

AC Milan v RC Deportivo La Coruña
After eliminating last season's runners-up Juventus FC, Deportivo must now turn their attentions to another Italian side, the holders Milan.

* Carlo Ancelotti, Milan coach
It was important just to avoid Real Madrid and we did it. I believe that all the other sides were more or less at the same level. However, we must be really careful with Deportivo. They showed how strong they are by eliminating Juve.
* Umberto Gandini, Milan organising director
We avoided Arsenal, Madrid or Chelsea and that's important. Deportvo are a very good team, they knocked out Juventus. It will all depend on the team but I am confident.
* Luis Sánchez Doporto, Deportivo representative
We knew we would meet a strong team and today's draw was not a surprise. It was a great challenge to have the opportunity to eliminate last year's runners-up and to eliminate the champions is an even greater challenge.
