The Georgian international was substituted in the 62nd minute at the Stadio Delle Alpi and has subsequently been examined by Belgian specialist Marc Martens in Antwerp. The doctor concluded that there was no damage to Kaladze's ligaments, eradicating fears of a lengthy lay-off.
United tie
Instead, the 26-year-old is likely to miss just the Serie A fixtures against US Lecce and US Città di Palermo, with the 15 January game against Udinese Calcio a possible target for his comeback. Milan meet Manchester United FC in the UEFA Champions League first knockout round in February, by which time Kaladze should long be fit.
