Old rivals reunited by draw

uefa.com collects the reaction from the 16 sides drawn in Champions League Groups E-H, which include repeats of last season's two semi-finals.

Group E
AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, FC Schalke 04, Fenerbahçe SK

This group is not the best one ever. There are three teams behind us that are pretty much equal and this will probably create some difficulties. It will be curious for us to return to Eindhoven and Istanbul, this gives us a chance to redeem ourselves for what went on in the final last season. Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti

Milan are the big favourites, they never have many changes in their squad and they always stay strong. We have made many changes so we have to wait and see how strong we are now. Schalke have grown into one of Germany's top clubs, their performances keep on being good. Fenerbahçe are one of my former clubs and, although they have changed a lot since then, they have signed some good players. All in all, a difficult group. PSV coach Guus Hiddink

We have probably been handed the toughest group of all. All our opponents have a lot of experience in Europe. Obviously we won't have to deal with the problem of underestimating anyone. We are looking forward to all the matches and every single club in the group has the same chance of reaching the next round. Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick

Considering our experience from last season, I believe we can qualify from this group. Nevertheless, I am aware how difficult this is going to be. Milan will be looking to bounce back from last season's disappointment, and are the favourites. On the other hand, there will be a lot of Turkish fans in Germany and the Netherlands to support us. We have been drawn in a tough group but any team can beat another. PSV have a lot of international experience and Schalke are a typical German side. Fenerbahçe coach Christoph Daum

Group F
Real Madrid CF, Olympique Lyonnais, Olympiacos CFP, Rosenborg BK

We all know what it means to play in Europe, we are aware that we will face many difficulties but we are optimistic. We make our debut in the competition in Lyon and it is essential to start a tournament like this on a positive note. Lyon are a great side, Rosenborg are classic rivals for us, we have met each other many times in recent years and so we know all about their physical strength. Olympiacos need no introduction - they are going to be tough rivals, especially at home. Madrid vice-president Emilio Butragueño

Against Madrid we'll be targeting a huge achievement. We'll try to be inspired by [AS] Monaco [FC]'s success two seasons ago. Looking at the rest of the group, I think we have a chance of finishing in the top two. Lyon captain Claudio Caçapa

They are big clubs and this is the top European competition so we would expect to play against these teams. In the past few years we have played against all our opponents. They are familiar faces and we are looking forward to a great season. Not only for us but for the competition itself. It is important for Greek football to have teams at this level. We will do our best to progress. Olympiacos spokesman George Spyropolous

A very tough group; not what we wanted. But the qualities we showed against [FC] Steaua [Bucuresti] make me optimistic that we can make an impression in the section. Rosenborg coach Per-Mathias Høgmo

Group G
Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, RSC Anderlecht, Real Betis Balompié

I knew we were going to be playing Chelsea. I wasn't surprised at all. I just had a feeling. The game at Anfield against Chelsea last season was a very special occasion and I'm sure it will be special again this time. They have a special manager and I think it will be two very close games. Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard

This is a very dangerous group for us. Not because of Liverpool, as all the teams in the top pots were dangerous, no matter who we got. All of them were big teams with a big reputation. This group is dangerous because in the third and fourth pots there were some smaller teams, but we got Anderlecht and Betis. Anderlecht have a big history in Europe with much experience of the Champions League. It is the debut for Betis but they are very strong, one of the best teams in Spain. Chelsea manager José Mourinho

This is a really tough draw. We start against the best team in the world, Chelsea, and that can set the mood for the rest of the campaign. They are all very strong opponents, but on the other hand we can start as underdogs and that could be an advantage. Anderlecht coach Franky Vercauteren

We knew we could be up against some difficult rivals. As it turned out, we have been pitted against the champions, Liverpool, and Chelsea, who are probably one of the favourites to win the competition. It's a huge step for us but we are very excited - we are going to enjoy it as best we can and do our best, maybe we can pull off a surprise. Betis goalkeeper Antonio Doblas

Group H
FC Internazionale Milano, FC Porto, Rangers FC, FC Artmedia Bratislava

It's not an easy group, as all the teams qualified after a very good season in 2004/05. We cannot afford to underestimate any opponents. Porto will be looking for revenge after we defeated them last season in the first knockout round. However, if we keep on playing as we have done this summer, we will qualify. Inter captain Javier Zanetti

We played Inter last season in the last 16. They are a very strong team and have internationals like us. They are very difficult and will cause us problems. But we are ready to do our best to go to the next phase of the Champions League. Porto board member Fernando Gomes

I reckon it is fate that paired us with Artmedia. We have to respect what they have achieved, they obviously knocked out Celtic [FC] and then went on from there. They went to Belgrade and kept a clean sheet against [FK] Partizan for 120 minutes and then had the nerve to win on penalties. Rangers manager Alex McLeish

I am very satisfied with the draw. I am very excited about the matches. It is the first time in the history of our club we have reached this stage and anything is possible. Artmedia coach Vladimir Weiss
