Best season
The 31-year-old Cruz joined Inter from Bologna FC in summer 2003 and scored seven and five goals respectively in his first two campaigns. The Argentinian is now enjoying his best season for the Nerazzurri, finding the net eight times in 21 Serie A matches (12 as a substitute) and three times in five UEFA Champions League appearances.
Limited opportunities
Toldo, meanwhile, has signed a new three-year contract, with his previous deal due to expire this summer. The 34-year-old former ACF Fiorentina custodian has played only two league games this term - and one in the UEFA Champions League - after losing his place to Júlio César. Inter are in Amsterdam this week for the first leg of their Round of 16 tie with AFC Ajax.
