AC Milan left-back Giuseppe Favalli will miss the rest of the UEFA Champions League group stage after twisting his right knee in Coppa Italia action.

Twisted knee
The 34-year-old former S.S. He will sit out the Group H matches at AEK Athens FC and at home to LOSC Lille Métropole, in a section the Rossoneri lead with ten points from four games.

Gattuso news
Former Italian international Favalli has made three Serie A appearances and two UEFA Champions League outings since moving to Milan from Inter in the summer. He joins midfielder Gennaro Gattuso on the treatment table, the 28-year-old having been told he will be absent until January with a similar injury after initial tests suggested less serious damage. Gattuso hurt his left knee in the 2-0 defeat by Atalanta BC last Sunday.
