Salihamidžić agrees Juve move

Hasan Salihamidžić hopes to end his FC Bayern München career with a second UEFA Champions League crown after agreeing to sign for Juventus.

Free agent
The Bosnian right-back has been a Bayern regular since 1998, having previously enjoyed three seasons in the Hamburger SV first team. "At the age of 30, I can still play in another country and learn a new culture. Four years is a decent length for a contract and the salary is good as well. It all fits," said Salihamidžić, who will move as a free agent.

Shoot-out success
Capped 42 times before his international retirement in August, Salihamidžić scored in the shoot-out as Bayern won the 2001 UEFA Champions League final against Valencia CF. He has also claimed six Bundesliga titles and four German Cups, and is eyeing more silverware this term. "I've had a great time in Munich," he said. "I want to go out with a title, preferably the UEFA Champions League."

Magath delight
Bayern will tackle Real Madrid CF in the first knockout round next month, and have been preparing for the resumption of their campaign in the United Arab Emirates. During a nine-day camp the players participated in 13 training sessions and Dubai Cup matches against Olympique de Marseille and SL Benfica. Coach Felix Magath said: "It was a fantastic training camp. Conditions were ideal, and we were focused on our work. The team pulled together tremendously."
