FC Bayern München have withdrawn their appeal with UEFA against a one-match ban and €12,339 (CHF 20,000) fine imposed on their goalkeeper Oliver Kahn by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Committee last week. UEFA confirmed on Thursday that it had received the withdrawal of the appeal from the German club.
Improper conduct
Kahn, 37, received the suspension and fine for improper conduct at the doping control after the UEFA Champions League first knockout round second leg against Real Madrid CF in Munich on 7 March. Consequently, Kahn will miss Bayern's UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against AC Milan in Italy on 3 April.
