AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini has undergone a scan on a knee injury suffered during Sunday's 2-1 derby defeat by FC Internazionale Milano, his 600th game in Serie A.
No surgery
The 38-year-old defender will not require surgery although he will only discover the full extent of the problem on Wednesday. Maldini has played 17 games in Serie A and five in the UEFA Champions League this season. He will hope to add to that latter tally when the Rossoneri face FC Bayern München in the quarter-finals next month.
