Rosenborg BK coach Knut Tørum has been dealt a blow after promising young striker Michael Kleppe Jamtfall was ruled out of the entire UEFA Champions League group stage campaign.

Knee injury
The 20-year-old, who has been capped by Norway at various youth levels, has suffered a serious knee injury in his right leg and is expected to be out of action for up to eight months. The son of Rosenborg and Norway goalkeeping coach Jørn Jamtfall, who was a regular for Rosenborg in the UEFA Champions League between 1995 and 2000, he will also miss the end of the 2007 Tippeligaen season after making his breakthrough this campaign and appearing in two of the club's qualifiers. It is the UEFA Champions League though where his absence will be most keenly felt as the Norwegian champions prepare to face Valencia FC, Chelsea FC and FC Schalke 04.
