Sevilla FC forward Jesús Navas has signed a new contract with the UEFA Champions League contenders until June 2012.
'Very happy'
The 22-year-old's deal at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán was due to expire in 2009, but both parties have agreed to prolong the arrangement by three more seasons. "I'm very happy and my reward comes after a lot of hard work," said Navas. "I like being here and the club are obviously happy with my work. Our situation is ideal now, much calmer and the team are playing better and better."

Navas was promoted to Sevilla's first-team squad from the reserves in 2003/04. He became the youngest player in the Andalusian club's history to reach a century of Primera División appearances when he took to the field against Real Madrid CF on 3 November. He has also featured in all four of Sevilla's UEFA Champions League Group H games. Manuel Jiménez's side face Arsenal FC and SK Slavia Praha on Matchdays 5 and 6.
