Real Madrid CF claimed the inaugural European Champion Clubs' Cup in style, coming from behind twice to record a breathtaking 4-3 victory against Stade de Reims Champagne at the Parc des Princes on 13 June 1956. Trailing first 2-0 and then 3-2, Madrid hit back to get their hands on a trophy they would not relinquish for another five years.
