Nearly 100 invitees had their photographs taken with the trophy in the Argentinian capital, while there was a display of signed football memorabilia, a historical movie of the greatest moments in European Champion Clubs' Cup history, and other football activities. Redondo, who lifted the cup twice with Real Madrid CF in 1998 and 2000, acted as UEFA Champions League Ambassador while Heineken's special guests were Almeyda, who starred in European football with Sevilla FC, S.S. Lazio, Parma FC and FC Internazionale Milano among others, and Flores, a Spanish champion with RC Deportivo La Coruña. Also present, along with representatives from Heineken, was William Gaillard, senior adviser to UEFA President Michel Platini.
