Back treatment for Barcelona's Touré

FC Barcelona midfielder Yaya Touré faces a period on the sidelines after suffering a slipped disc in his back and will undergo a spell of medical treatment.

Treatment
The 24-year-old Ivorian international has been having back problems since February but has been forced to play recently due to the ongoing absence of Rafael Márquez, who has a damaged right foot. This has worsened Touré's condition and he will now undergo medical treatment, though not surgery for the time being, and it is unknown how long he will be out of action. It is therefore unclear whether Touré, who joined from AS Monaco FC, last summer, will be a doubt for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on 1/2 and 8/9 April. Barcelona, already without Lionel Messi for those ties due to a hamstring injury, discover their opponents on Friday and could face Arsenal FC, who include Yaya's brother Kolo in their squad.
