Bremen bring in promising Huseinović

Werder Bremen have signed 19-year-old FK Sloboda Tuzla midfielder Said Huseinović, described by Thomas Schaaf as "an agile, straightforward attacking player".

Schaaf impressed
The playmaker is reported to have been transferred for a sum in the region of €1m and has signed a four-year contract with Werder until summer 2012. Huseinović appeared 25 times in his maiden top-flight campaign in 2007/08 and was capped twice by Bosnia-Herzegovina, progress not missed by Bremen, whose coach Thomas Schaaf said: "Said has been scouted by us and convinced as an agile, straightforward attacking player. He wants to continue his journey with us and we are pleased to have been able to sign him." Bremen begin their UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage after finishing second in last season's Bundesliga.
