FC Barcelona have signed Belarus midfielder Aleksandr Hleb from fellow UEFA Champions League contenders Arsenal FC for €15m.
'A dream'
The 27-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Catalan giants after successfully passing a medical on Wednesday. "[It is] a dream," said Hleb. "I really like this team. I love it. I will give my best in order to help win as many trophies as we can." Hleb moved to London from VfB Stuttgart three years ago and went on to make 89 Premier League appearances for Arsenal scoring seven goals and starting the UEFA Champions League final loss to Barcelona in 2006. A five-time winner of the Belarus Player of the Year award, Hleb joins fellow new recruits Daniel Alves, Seydou Keita, Gerard Piqué and Martín Cáceres at Camp Nou.
