Robben was unable to take part at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, with tests later showing the extent of the injury. The 24-year-old former PSV Eindhoven and Chelsea FC attacker will be sidelined for about six weeks. Robben – who has made eight Spanish Liga appearances this season, scoring one goal – had recently returned to action after a two-week lay-off with a thigh strain. Bernd Schuster's team are second in UEFA Champions League Group H following back-to-back defeats by Juventus. They face tricky assignments, away to FC BATE Borisov on 25 November and at home to FC Zenit St. Petersburg on 10 December, as they attempt to reach the first knockout round.
