Celtic FC full-back Mark Wilson has signed an extended deal that will keep him at the club until 2012, and the 24-year-old is already planning on adding more silverware to the three Scottish Premier League winners' medals he has so far collected during his stay.
Quick agreement
"It feels great to sign the new contract," said Wilson, who joined from Dundee United FC in January 2006. "I've been at Celtic for a while now and we managed to come to an agreement really quickly. I think the best years are still ahead of me with Celtic. There is a lot to look forward to and it's great that the manager has shown so much faith in me. I really appreciate it. I've had my fair share of injuries over the past few years, but to have the backing of everyone at the club really does mean a lot to me."
Domestic aims
The Hoops are resigned to finishing bottom in their UEFA Champions League section after losing 2-1 at Aalborg BK on Matchday 5, yet with the club seven points clear in the league and still active in both the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup, Wilson sees plenty of reasons to remain positive. "Losing to Aalborg last week was a blow, but we still have a lot to play for this season," he said. "We'll be doing our best to win all three domestic trophies and ensure it's another exciting season for the supporters."
