Vidić to miss match in Milan

FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has banned Manchester United FC's Nemanja Vidić for one match for his dismissal in the FIFA Club World Cup final, ruling him out of the first knockout round first leg with FC Internazionale Milano.

FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has suspended the Manchester United FC defender Nemanja Vidić for one match following his dismissal in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Ecuador's LDU de Quito on 21 December in Yokohama, Japan, in accordance with FIFA's Disciplinary Code.

First-leg absence
The suspension applies to the next club competition match at confederation level, as stated in Article 38, par. 2 d) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, meaning Vidić will miss the UEFA Champions League first knockout round first leg against FC Internazionale Milano on 24 February.
