Juventus continue to count the cost of Sunday's 3-2 defeat at home by Cagliari Calcio after losing both midfielder Cristiano Zanetti and defender Giorgio Chiellini to injury.

Ten weeks out
The 31-year-old Zanetti had only recently returned from a knock which has restricted him to just six Serie A appearances this season, when he was forced off after 21 minutes with a similar muscle problem in his left thigh. The former Italian international is expected to be out for up to ten weeks and will certainly miss his side's UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie against Chelsea FC. Chiellini, meanwhile, faces a race against time to be fit for the first leg at Stamford Bridge on 25 February. According to the club's website the 24-year-old centre-back, "will be out for 15 to 20 days with a left thigh injury but should be ready for the game against Chelsea."
