AS Roma have lost midfielder Simone Perrotta for the home second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie against Arsenal FC after the Italian international suffered a hip injury in training today.

Month out
Perrotta, 31, is expected to undergo further tests in the coming days but initial reports say he faces over a month on the sidelines. The absence of the former AC Chievo Verona player, who has made 18 Serie A appearances this season as well as being a regular in Europe, adds to the concerns of coach Luciano Spalletti with Daniele De Rossi already ruled out of the 11 March fixture through suspension.

Aquilani recovering
Brazilian centre-back Juan is still out after missing the 1-0 defeat in England with a thigh injury, although midfielder Alberto Aquilani is recovering from an ankle problem and could return for the first knockout round decider against the Gunners.
