Defensive steel
The Black Eagles have paid in the region of €6m for the 29-year-old centre-back's services as they strengthen ahead of their return to the UEFA Champions League group stage. Defensive midfielder Michael Fink joined from Eintracht Frankfurt last month and Ferrari will further bolster a back line that conceded just 30 goals last term as Beşiktaş claimed their 13th title. Capped eleven times by Italy between 2002 and 2004, Ferrari joined Genoa from AS Roma last summer and lists FC Internazionale Milano, US Lecce, AS Bari, Parma FC and Everton FC among his former employers.
