FC Dynamo Kyiv have signed left midfielder Gerson Magrão from Cruzeiro EC for a reported fee of €2.2m.
'Very happy'
The 24-year-old Brazilian, who has agreed a five-year deal with Dynamo, returns to Europe for a second spell after a brief stint with Feyenoord in 2004/05 and is eager to make his mark. "I am very happy to join a team that is always pushing for titles and plays in the UEFA Champions League," he said. Magrão began his career with Cruzeiro and also had spells at CR Flamengo and Ipatinga FC before returning to Cruzeiro in 2008. He played in both legs of the Brazilian side's defeat by Club Estudiantes LP in the final of the Copa Libertadores last month. The Ukrainian Premier League leaders begin their UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage next month.
