Henry to miss Rubin encounter

Thierry Henry has been ruled out of FC Barcelona's Group F fixture against Russian titleholders FC Rubin Kazan on Tuesday evening at Camp Nou after tearing his right thigh muscle on international duty.

FC Barcelona will be without striker Thierry Henry for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League meeting with FC Rubin Kazan after the 32-year-old tore his thigh muscle on international duty.

Ten-day absence
Henry scored from the penalty spot during France's 3-1 FIFA World Cup qualifying victory over Austria in Paris on Wednesday yet after complaining of a sharp pain in his right leg the former Arsenal FC forward was taken off on 51 minutes. Tests have revealed a thigh tear and Henry is expected to be sidelined for ten days, ruling him out of the Group F meeting with Russian titleholders Rubin at Camp Nou. Zlatan Ibrahimović, meanwhile, should be fit for Saturday night's Liga meeting with Valencia CF despite picking up a knock to his right knee during Sweden's 4-1 win against Albania.
