A dislocated arm is set to deny Russian champions FC Rubin Kazan of the services of striker Aleksandr Bukharov for their game at Group F leaders and reigning champions FC Barcelona on Tuesday.

Bukharov sustained the injury as Rubin beat FC Khimki 2-1 on Saturday to stay top of the Russian Premier-Liga. The titleholders have fared less well on their UEFA Champions League debut and now head to the Camp Nou bottom of the section and still in search of their first victory without Bukharov, scorer of 13 league goals this season. "It all ended a bit painfully," he said. "I pushed the ball forward and fell awkwardly after vying with a defender. I stretched my hand and fell on to it. Thankfully, I've only got a dislocated bone." Rubin will also be missing the suspended Macbeth Sibaya.
