Dream debut
The Athens club also have the option of making the deal permanent in the summer for €5.5m should the former CA Banfield and CA Boca Juniors player impress with the Greek Super League outfit, who dismissed Zico as coach on Tuesday. Dátolo, who made 13 Serie A appearances for Napoli in the first half of the campaign, has scored twice in three games for Argentina, the first of which came just 20 seconds into his debut against Russia in August. The 25-year-old is Olympiacos's second arrival of the January transfer window following the return of Lomana LuaLua as a free agent.
