SL Benfica have bolstered their forward line with strikers Nolito and Rodrigo Mora being signed from FC Barcelona and Uruguay's Defensor Sporting Club respectively. The Lisbon outfit unveiled the pair on Friday but released no details about the length of their deals.

Nolito, whose full name is Manuel Agudo Durán, was a free agent after reaching the end of his contract with Barcelona where he had spent the last two seasons as a regular for the B team. The 24-year-old, who had arrived at Camp Nou from Écija Balompié in 2008, made two substitute appearances for Barcelona's senior side in the Liga and scored in a 5-1 Spanish Cup win over AD Ceuta in November. "I didn't think twice about coming here," he said.

His fellow newcomer, 23-year-old Mora, lands in Portugal on the back of 11 goals in 15 Uruguayan league games for Defensor in 2010/11. "It's a great club in Europe and one of the best in the world. I'm very proud to be here," he said. The duo follow Daniel Wass, Nuno Coelho, Artur and Bruno César in signing on at the Estádio da Luz as Jorge Jesus prepares his squad for the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round later in July.
