Trabzonspor AŞ slipped to third place in Group B with defeat at PFC CSKA Moskva last time out although coach Şenol Güneş remains confident of a restorative result when the Russian side visit Turkey, with visiting coach Leonid Slutski wary of the home side's attacking prowess.

Trabzonspor
Coach Şenol Güneş

We expected a better result in Moscow than a 3-0 defeat; we started well but the first goal had a negative effect on us. Now they have the advantage so this match is very important for both teams. If we win it'll put us in a very good position, we know that. We want to play well and we have the enthusiasm, talent and courage to do that, as well as good home fans.

We have to be patient. CSKA have effective players in attack but so do we. We want our fans to support us from beginning to end. If we get a good result, we'd have a 60% chance of getting into the next round. Tomorrow will be a historic night for Trabzonspor and we want to send CSKA home with no points. Having everyone available is a definite advantage; it gives us a good chance to make tactical changes during the match. In the last match we had difficulties in attack because we were missing some players.

Weekend result
Saturday:
Gaziantepspor 0–1 Trabzonspor (Halil Altıntop 90)
Tolga; Čelůstka, Głowacki, Kaçar, Čech; Serkan, Colman, Aykut Akgün; Mierzejewski (Paulo Henrique 78); Halil Altıntop, Brożek (Alanzinho 64)

• Without the unwell Burak Yılmaz, who has contributed 11 of their 14 league goals this term, Trabzonspor ended a run of three games without a win thanks to Halil Altıntop's first goal for the club.

Team news
Burak did not feature against Gaziantepspor because of a cold, though Paulo Henrique was a substitute following knee surgery. Ondřej Čelůstka started on his return from a minor knock, while Tayfun Cora and Onur Kıvrak, yet to feature this season because of cruciate ligament problems, were both on the bench. Róbert Vittek (torn knee ligaments, sidelined since 17 September) and Barış Ataş (torn hamstring, 2 September) are out of action, although the latter has resumed training.

CSKA
Coach Leonid Slutski

In the first match against Trabzonspor we faced some problems as they were dangerous on the attack but we'll watch out for that. We have more players missing than Trabzonspor so they'll push us hard but we have to solve this with teamwork. It's always an advantage to play at home with the crowd on your side; we had that in Moscow and now it's Trabzonspor's turn. Remember, though, that we played an exciting match against Beşiktaş in Istanbul; the spectators were amazing and I'm sure Trabzonspor fans will be the same tomorrow night. It's important to enjoy the match.

We won't pay special attention to any Trabzonspor players; instead we have to work as a team. This is a very important match and we'll have to do our best. The winners will have seven points; that wouldn't finish anything but with that you can see yourself in the next round or in the Europa League. We must make sure we make fewer mistakes; if we can do that, we believe we can win here.
