Paris Saint-Germain FC have confirmed the signing of Argentinian international Ezequiel Lavezzi for an undisclosed fee, after the forward inked a four-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.

Lavezzi, 27, has joined PSG after five seasons at SSC Napoli, where he made 156 league appearances, scoring 38 goals. Last season the livewire attacker was a key member of the Partenopei squad that lifted the Coppa Italia for first time since 1987 and reached the UEFA Champions League round of 16, where they were eliminated by eventual winners Chelsea FC.

"Ezequiel is a player we have monitored for a long time," said PSG's sporting director Leonardo. "We are very happy to welcome him on board. I'm sure he'll leave his mark in the club's history."

"It was PSG's sporting project that attracted me. I have the chance to play for a big club that's on the rise and will keep on growing," added Lavezzi, who will look forward to playing European football with PSG as their second-place finish in Ligue 1 last term secured them a place in the group stage for the upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign.
