Olympiacos FC have completed the signing of midfielder Leandro Greco from AS Roma.
Greco, who turned 26 last week, has penned a three-year contract and said: "I am very happy to be here. Olympiacos are a very important club in Greece and Europe and I am looking forward to giving my all in order to help them achieve their goals. I remember the fans of Olympiacos from when we came with Roma to play in Piraeus and I was impressed – they are amazing."
A Roma youth product, Greco had a loan spell at ASD Astrea before joining Hellas-Verona FC in 2006. Back at Roma two years later, he had temporary spells with AC Pisa 1909 and Piacenza Calcio before becoming a more regular first team squad member of the last couple of years, totalling 33 Serie A and three UEFA Champions League appearances, about half from the bench.
Olympiacos, who will participate in the UEFA Champions League group stage, have now signed seven players this summer. Greco is joined by defenders Claude Dielna, Dimitris Siovas, Kostas Manolas and Vassilis Karagounis, winger Panagiotis Vlachodimos and goalkeeper Andreas Gianniotis.
