It doesn't matter how our opponents managed to score, the fact is they did – that is the reality now. Whether it comes via an own goal or some other way, I don't try to find excuses. We really needed to battle to get back in the game. We needed to use long balls and try to scramble the ball in, and it's easy to defend that style of football.
CFR defended very well even though they were reduced to ten men. To be honest, we should be aiming to score more than once. Now we have to win away, a thing which we failed to do at home. We panicked during this match.
I didn't expect a 1-1 draw. You have to be philosophical sometimes and have a wry smile over what has happened in the last two games. If we had beaten CFR and Braga, they would have been forced to play more attacking football at home.
Nounkeu was not at fault for the goal. He's just marking his man closely, the ball hits him at a funny angle and it goes in. When they had a man sent off, we made a tactical change and put on Burak Yılmaz for Hamit Altıntop. Then came the forced substitutions. First [Johan] Elmander and then [Emmanuel] Eboué. Such things happen in football.

We cannot speak just yet about playing in Europe in the spring – we'll only talk about this match for now – because there are three games still to be played. The boys were fantastic today. In such weather and conditions, which I have seldom experienced, we could only play one way: direct football and making sure we cleared our lines.
We played intelligently and could have even won. All our efforts were rewarded with this result. My players were like heroes. We fought with all our means and our methods in order to defeat a stronger opponent. I am satisfied with the result and there is now no need to speak about my future at CFR.
