New Madrid deal confirms Jesé progress

Top scorer for winners Spain at the 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, striker Jesé Rodríguez has signed a new three-year deal with Real Madrid CF.

Real Madrid CF have rewarded 20-year-old forward Jesé Rodríguez with a three-year contract extension that ties the Canary Islander to the nine-time European champions until the summer of 2017.

Jesé joined the Spanish giants as a 14-year-old and having risen through the ranks of the club, made his senior debut in a Copa del Rey encounter against SD Ponferradina in December 2011. A regular for the club's' B team, Real Madrid Castilla, he finished last season as the Spanish second division's top scorer with 22 goals.

It is with Spain's junior teams that Jesé has really underlined his promise. He scored five goals, including the winner, at the 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, and this summer helped Spain to the quarter-finals of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup with five more goals. After penning his new deal, the youngster tweeted: "I am very happy to have extended my contract and to play for the best club in the world. I will give my all for these colours."
