Club Atlético de Madrid midfielder Koke and full-back Juanfran have each agreed terms on one-year contract extensions with the Spanish champions.

Indispensable during the Rojiblancos' 2013/14 run to Liga glory and the UEFA Champions League final, the pair have signed new deals that run until 2019 in Koke's case and 2018 for Juanfran.

"I'm really happy to be continuing here, at what I feel is my home," Atlético youth-team product Koke – born Jorge Resurrección Merodio – told the club's website. "Everybody knows what I feel for this club and what wearing the shirt means. Here's hoping I can spend many more years here and continue to grow as a player."

Koke has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence on both domestic and European fronts since making his senior bow for the Colchoneros against FC Barcelona in 2009. A scorer of 13 goals in 115 league appearances for Atlético, he has collected Liga, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and Copa del Rey honours. A 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship winner with Spain, the Madrid native is now ten times a senior international, featuring twice for La Roja at the FIFA World Cup.

Defender Juanfran was also present as Spain suffered group stage elimination in Brazil. The right-back – who registered 12 goals in 148 games for CA Osasuna before joining Atlético in January 2010 – has since figured in 111 top-flight matches for the capital outfit. The 29-year-old ex-Real Madrid CF youth-teamer was a UEFA European U19 Championship winner with Spain and formed part of Vicente del Bosque's successful UEFA EURO 2012 squad.

Beaten by Real Madrid in last month's UEFA Champions League final, Atleti will begin their 2014/15 challenge from the group stage.
