Buffon thrilled by Juve heroics

"We were a team that wanted to reach our objective," said goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon after helping Juventus end Real Madrid CF's reign as European champions and reach the UEFA Champions League final. "After winning the first leg, we didn't come here just to defend. We knew there would be very tough moments when we'd have to hold firm, but we also played a positive game because we had other chances to score. This is a step that we all wanted to take with all our hearts, and we did really well to achieve it."
