Group E
Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Leverkusen dominated but could find no way past Hugo Lloris as the home side recorded their third draw in the group. At the other end Vincent Janssen hit the bar for Spurs, still a point in front of third-placed Leverkusen.

CSKA Moskva 1-1 Monaco
Igor Akinfeev came within three minutes of his first UEFA Champions League clean sheet since 1 November 2006, a 40-match run, only for Bernardo Silva to take that wretched spell past the decade mark. On-loan Lacina Traoré had scored against his parent club but Monaco remain top and CSKA in fourth, albeit only split by three points.

Group F
Real Madrid 5-1 Legia Warsawa
Legia gave as good as they got early on, but they are still without a point while Madrid moved on to seven. It went from 0-0 to 2-1 in a seven-minute first-half period as Gareth Bale's superb finish and a Legia own goal were countered by Miroslav Radović's penalty. Marco Asensio made it 3-1 before the break and Lucas Vázquez and substitute Álvaro Morata did the rest.

Sporting CP 1-2 Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund joined Madrid on seven points, four clear of Sporting, as first-half goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Julian Weigl proved enough for victory despite Bruno César pulling one back from an indirect free-kick inside the box after a back pass. Another Dortmund win next time would confirm their progress.

Group G
Leicester City 1-0 København

A neat flick by Riyad Mahrez late in the first half sufficed for the English debutants to produce their third victory in the group and open up a five-point lead over second-placed FCK. A repeat success in Copenhagen in a fortnight would rubber-stamp Leicester's round of 16 ticket.

Club Brugge 1-2 Porto
André Silva converted a penalty deep in added time to take Porto level with FCK in second and keep Brugge without a point. The Belgian champions had been in front until Miguel Layún equalised with 22 minutes to go; Jelle Vossen had got Brugge's first goal in the group early on.

Group H
Lyon 0-1 Juventus

Substitute Juan Cuadrado's excellent angled drive with 14 minutes left gave ten-man Juventus victory and a four-point cushion over third-placed Lyon. Gianluigi Buffon saved a first-half penalty from Alexandre Lacazette and then, after Mario Lemina's 54th-minute dismissal, the Juve veteran denied Nabil Fekir in even more brilliant style.

Dinamo Zagreb 0-1 Sevilla
Samir Nasri's 38th-minute strike kept Sevilla level with Juve on seven points and condemned Dinamo to a third defeat without a goal. A home win against Dinamo for Sevilla would send them through and end any possiblity of a fourth straight UEFA Europa League title.
