Entries are now open for the second season of the 2016/17 PES LEAGUE ROAD TO CARDIFF – the official UEFA Champions League eSports tournament with a first prize of $200,000.

Season two gives European gamers another chance to qualify for the World finals in Cardiff on 3 June, when the UEFA Champions League final will be held in the Welsh capital at the National Stadium of Wales.

The second European season of the PES LEAGUE ROAD TO CARDIFF, presented by Konami, runs until 23 March and is available exclusively to PlayStation4 and PlayStation3 users playing PES 2017 and those using the new free-to-play PES 2017 trial edition.

Once registered, players will be able to track their PES LEAGUE mode progress online, with the best performers advancing to national finals between 24 March and 9 April.

Four pro players booked their place in Cardiff during the first season of the regional finals at Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium on 11 February. Those who missed out now have the opportunity to compete in their respective European national qualifiers.

Sixteen challengers from across the continent will then contest the regional final – the winner of which will receive $20,000, along with a ticket to Cardiff – at Anfield in April for the final four European spots.
