UEFA.com runs the rule over some new signings – and a few old faces – who could star.

Anderlecht
:
Henry Onyekuru (MF, €6.0m) – on loan from Everton, the speedy left winger scored 24 times for Eupen last season.

APOEL
:
Jesús Rueda (DF, €4.5m) – the Spanish centre-back helped APOEL keep four clean sheets on his five qualifying appearances, conceding only one goal.

Atlético Madrid
: Thomas Partey (MF, €5.0m) – a fringe player last term, he has been handed the No5 jersey for this campaign and scored on his first Liga start.

Barcelona
: Ousmane Dembélé (FW, €8.5m) – grabbed an assist just seven minutes into his debut last season, plus four more as Dortmund got to the quarter-finals.

Basel
: Dimitri Oberlin (FW, €6.0m) – nine goals and four assists in just 14 starts in the 2016/17 Austrian top flight with Salzburg.

Bayern München
: Corentin Tolisso (MF, €8.0m) – scored 14 goals from midfield for Lyon last season.

Benfica
: Haris Seferović (FW, €5.5m) – scored in each of his first three league games for Benfica.

Beşiktaş
: Álvaro Negredo (FW, €7.0m) – four goals and one assist in his seven UEFA Champions League starts; six goals in 18 appearances overall.

Celtic
: Olivier Ntcham (MF, €5.0m) – a goal and an assist in his four qualifying appearances.

Chelsea
: Álvaro Morata (FW, €10.0m) – a UEFA Champions League winner with Real Madrid in 2016/17, Morata scored 20 goals in all competitions last term before joining Chelsea.

CSKA Moskva
: Vitinho (FW, €6.5m) – having spent 2016 on loan back in his native Brazil, he went straight into the CSKA starting XI on his return and has been among the goals this season.

Borussia Dortmund
: Dan-Axel Zagadou (DF, €4.0m) – the 18-year-old Frenchman, a summer signing from Paris, has made several appearances already this season at left-back and his future could lie in the centre.

Feyenoord
: Sam Larsson (FW, €6.0m) – nine goals and 11 assists in last season's Eredivisie.

Juventus
: Douglas Costa (MF, €8.5m) – a UEFA Champions League veteran, he could become an assist-machine for Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuaín.

Leipzig
: Kevin Kampl (MF, €5.5m) – had a hand in three goals in seven UEFA Champions League appearances for Bayer Leverkusen last season.

Liverpool
: Mohamed Salah (CF, €9.5m) – arriving from Roma, the Egyptian international has flown out of the traps with three strikes and two assists so far in all competitions.

Manchester City
: Kyle Walker (DF, €6.0m) – 18 assists in 200 Premier League appearances.

Manchester United
: Romelu Lukaku (FW, €10.0m) – 25 goals in last season's Premier League.

Maribor
: Jasmin Mešanović (FW, €6.0m) – 11 goals and four assists in last season's Bosnian Premier League for Zrinjski, and three goals already in the new season.

Monaco
: Keita Baldé (FW, €8.0m) – the Senegalese international scored 16 times for Lazio in Serie A last season.

Napoli
: Arkadiusz Milik (FW, €7.5m) – scored three goals in his first two UEFA Champions League games for Napoli before a serious knee injury. Now has to win his place back.

Olympiacos
: Vadis Odjidja (MF, €5.5m) – 14 assists for Legia Warszawa last season.

Paris Saint-Germain
: Last season brought Neymar (FW, €11.0m) 20 goals and 27 assists (four and nine in the UEFA Champions League). Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé (FW, €9.0m) helped himself to 26 goals and 14 assists, and Dani Alves (DF, €6.5m) served up three goals and four assists in the UEFA Champions League.

Porto
: Vincent Aboubakar (FW, €6.5m) – the Cameroon striker has hit form, with four goals in as many games since returning from a loan spell at Beşiktaş.

Qarabağ
: Pedro Henrique (MF, €5.0m) struck three times in only ten league appearances for PAOK in 2016/17.

Real Madrid
: Theo Hernández (DF, €5.0m) – joined from Atlético having been outstanding on loan at Alavés last season, scoring one goal and laying on a further three from full-back.

Roma
: Federico Fazio (DF, €5.5m) – scored two direct free-kicks in a total of four strikes last season.

Sevilla
: Jesús Navas (MF, €6.0m) – reunited with the club he loves, the home-town boy provided two assists in qualifying. Vastly experienced, he is still lightning quick.

Shakhtar: Ivan Petryak (MF, €6.5m) – got five goals and eight assists for Zorya Luhansk in last season's Ukrainian top flight.

Spartak Moskva
: Mario Pašalić (MF, €6.0m) – one goal and an assist already after signing on loan from Chelsea.

Sporting
: Marcos Acuña (MF, €5.5m) – the Argentinian has racked up a goal and four assists in a blistering start for his new club.

Tottenham
: Fernando Llorente (FW, €7.5m) – a proven Premier League goalscorer with Swansea, the Spurs new boy is also an experienced European campaigner.
