Matchday four was not a vintage one for The Scout, but 73 points represented a respectable return; now, with 15 places in the knockout rounds still to be decided, attention turns to those playing for teams whose hopes are on the line.

Goalkeepers

Two high-profile goalkeepers with appealing home games are The Scout's pick for the penultimate round of matches. On Tuesday, Atlético Madrid welcome Group A's bottom side Monaco, so Jan Oblak (€5.9m) is the stand-out pick; the following day, David de Gea (€6.0m) and Manchester United face Young Boys at Old Trafford, making the Spaniard a strong alternative option.

Defenders

Atlético and Manchester United are also represented in the back line, such is their clean-sheet potential; Lucas Hernández (€5.4m) and Luke Shaw (€5.0m) are the chosen options. Borussia Dortmund have been imperious at home this season and a visit from Club Brugge prompts investment in Manuel Akanji (€4.5m) while Napoli have a similarly enticing home fixture, against Crvena zvezda in their case, and Mário Rui (€4.0m) is a strong budget differential. Juventus suffered a shock at home on matchday four and will look to get back on track against Valencia, so Leonardo Bonucci (€6.1m) comes into the squad.

Midfielders

Saúl Ñíguez (€7.5m) makes it a maximum three Atlético representatives, while Jadon Sancho (€5.0m) is one again a great budget choice with Dortmund looking for a positive performance against Brugge. CSKA Moskva will look for Nikola Vlašić (€6.5m) to supply plenty of attacking intent in a crucial game against Plzeň while Roma's Cengiz Ünder (€7.2m) will be out to impress in a potentially decisive game against Real Madrid. The sole midfielder in the squad to face an away game is Manchester City's Leroy Sané (€9.0m), who goes to Lyon with recent form on his side having scored twice at the weekend.

Forwards

Lionel Messi (€11.6m) is available having missed the double-header against Inter and comes straight back into the squad, with The Scout hoping for a repeat of his matchday one hat-trick against PSV Eindhoven when Barcelona go to the Netherlands. Napoli's top scorer this season, Lorenzo Insigne (€8.5m) will look to capitalise against a Crvena zvezda side who shipped ten goals in their first two away games; lower priced but the third highest-scoring Fantasy forward, Porto's Moussa Marega (€7.6m) delivered on matchday four and will look to score for the fourth UEFA Champions League game in a row when Schalke visit the Estádio do Dragão.
