Real Madrid CF defender Nacho has agreed a four-year contract extension tying the 24-year-old to the European champions until summer 2021.
The versatile centre-back – whose previous deal was due to expire in 2017 – has made 23 Liga appearances for the Merengues since his debut in a 6-3 victory at Valencia CF in April 2011. Madrid youth-team product Nacho featured in Spain's 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship success, then won his first cap with La Roja in a friendly against Chile last September.
After putting pen to paper, the 2007 UEFA European U17 Championship winner said: "This is an incredible day. As a boy I dreamt of playing at the Santiago Bernabéu. All I can do is smile and commit myself to defending my club's colours, as always. I appreciate the confidence Madrid have shown in me and will look to repay their faith with hard work and commitment."
Carlo Ancelotti's side will defend their UEFA Champions League title from the group stage starting in September.
