AC Milan have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of Italian international Andrea Poli on loan from UC Sampdoria, with Poland's Bartosz Salamon going the other way.

The 23-year-old Poli, capped three times by Cesare Prandelli, joins on a 12-month deal with the Rossoneri having the option of making the deal permanent. He needs no introduction to the San Siro, having made 18 Serie A appearances during a similar spell at FC Internazionale Milano in 2011/12.

Salamon, 22, leaves Milan on a loan that may become permanent six months after arriving from Brescia Calcio and without playing a single game with the club. A holding midfielder who can also play as a central defender, he – like Poli – has won three international caps.
