Iniesta: 'It's a feeling of total happiness'

Having played in a fourth victorious UEFA Champions League final, Andrés Iniesta said the work FC Barcelona have put in all year has "come to such a spectacular end."

Iniesta joy after 'incredible' win

Having played in – and won – his fourth UEFA Champions League final as FC Barcelona lifted the trophy for the fourth time in a decade, Andrés Iniesta told UEFA.com of his "total happiness" after adding yet another trophy to his collection. The 31-year-old became the first player to provide assists in three finals with his pass to Ivan Rakitić for Barcelona's fourth-minute opener, and was voted official man of the match for his efforts.

Iniesta on... his emotions
It's a feeling of total happiness. The work that we've put in this year has come to such a spectacular end with all these trophies. We were up against a very tough Juve side today. I dedicate it to the team, our people, our families and everyone else. It's been a year of hard work and to end it in this way is simply incredible.

Every final is difficult. Your opponents are always tough. I think we put in a very complete performance and made the most of our opportunities. We also suffered when we had to suffer. Congratulations to the team for the excellent job tonight.

The best image is just that: Xavi lifting the Champions League trophy in his final match. It's the ending that every player would want to have and I'm very happy for him, and for the experiences that we've shared. It's time to celebrate him.

I'm happy about it because people who voted thought that what I did was very good and that makes me very happy.

Iniesta on.... how Barcelona will celebrate
I hope to experience the real delight when you achieve something that's absolutely unique. Six years ago we thought we'd never repeat the treble. Now we've done it again, which is incredibly hard, so we want to enjoy it – go out and celebrate. Things are not always perfect, so you must celebrate your victories. We don't realise how difficult it is to do what we've done, so we have to enjoy it.

Iniesta on... how this compares to his first three victories
All these finals have their good moments, and moments where you have to suffer. In every final you play against great teams. Today Juventus made it very difficult; we had chances to go 2-0 up and maybe that would have made it different; we'd have played with more calmness. But it's a spectacular day for us, for Barcelona football club and all our supporters.

Iniesta on... yet another trophy
It makes my hair stand on end when I think about it – when you look back and see how fortunate you've been, to play with Barcelona, and win all these things. I don't think I'm seeing things at their true value, not even 10%. There'll always be challenges and next year we want to do it all again – we always want new challenges to make progress, get better, and make this club that we love so much more successful. I hope to repeat this Champions League triumph – but today I just want to enjoy a fifth Champions League for this club. The future will take care of itself.
