Gary Neville's comeback from injury for Manchester United FC has been delayed again after Sir Alex Ferguson was forced to drop plans to include the right-back in their squad to face AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Setbacks
The 32-year-old England defender suffered an ankle injury in March and has not played a first-team game as despite making a reserves comeback last month Neville has suffered calf and thigh problems. "It is disappointing," Sir Alex said. "He has gone back to the specialist for him to have another look at it, but there is nothing positive on that at all."
'Not serious'
However, the manager expects Neville to return before long. "It is not getting serious," Sir Alex said. "He just keeps getting niggling injuries. It is a concern that he gets small setbacks every time he gets ready to play. We need to sort it out and get him back as soon as possible." United have already clinched first place in Group F regardless of their result in Rome.
